Ground Truths is an exhibition of work that uses reenactment, magic, substitution, and projection to explore the corporeal aspects of remote viewing. Accessing far away places that range from physical locations in space to the deepest regions of the subconscious, the works in the exhibition insist on making visible the physicality of shifting consciousness. These artists create "non-local awareness" in different ways, with a common interest in doing away with everyday habits of relating to knowledge and relationship. The paintings, sculpture, video, and performance documentation included in the exhibition employ remoteness and distance as powerful tools with which to gain perspective on our desires.
